Week Ending September 1st, 2014

This was a great week! We did a lot of service.... again..... it's kind of a theme here in Edmonds but... it opened up a lot of doors with less active members! ha ha This week we sorted 42 boxes of rotten food... yum! Everyone's dream ha ha but out of it we got about 12 boxes of good food to take to needy families... we also take a box for us ha ha ..... missionaries need produce too ha ha. 

We worked al ot with Less active members this week and it was great! We were able to help with 4 or 5 less active members that had no interest working with missionaries... We took them boxes of food, that really softened their hearts. They all want to meet with us more! frequently and one wants to start preparing to go to the temple so she can do the work for her late husband :) 

Our inv. all had health issues going on this week. They were all sick or their loved ones were in the Hospital... so not much to report there... but Less active work is going wonderfully! 
We will be working more with our investigators this week.

So.................................. The time has come..... I have been on my mission for a year!!!!!! WAHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe that a year has past already! So much has happened and I really feel that I should be able to tell you a lof more about this last week but I am at a loss of things to say.... We had a great week and we saw a lot of people..... and I did not have any mishaps with cats peeing on me this week ha ha ha.

This is a really good movie produced by the church about being guided by God's light to get answers to prayers. We met with an inv. this week that is having a hard time understanding that God ALWAYS answers prayers... but that it may take a while to unerstand or recognize the answers he is giving us... This video says it perfectly... HE does asnwer us... we just have to be patient and look for the answers.....

Speaking of prayers... another one of our inv. said his first prayer ever this week! It was so beautiful and amazing to hear this son of God. Pray to our Father in Heaven.... 

Prayer is SO powerful... don't ever forget that and don't hesitate to get on your knees!
